The top-earning English coach is, perhaps unsurprisingly, Jose Mourinho, who is second in the overall list. The Chelsea manager pockets an estimated £8.34m per year at Stamford Bridge. Arsene Wenger (Arsenal, £6.89m) isn’t far behind Mourinho in fourth, losing out to Italian Marcelo Lippi (£8.34m), in charge of Guangzhou.
Former England manager Fabio Capello is also highly placed on the list in fifth place, the Russia manager £6.51m. Mega-rich Manchester City’s manager Manuel Pellegrini makes the top ten on £3.47m, behind Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid, £6.26), David Moyes (Manchester United, £4.92m), Tata Martino (£4.5m) and Jurgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund, £4.3m).
Harry Redknapp sneaks into the top 30, the QPR manager earning £2.09m from the SkyBet Championship club per year. Redknapp earns the same as Germany manager Joachim Low and more than Spain boss Vicente del Bosque (£1.96m)
The only club outside Europe to have a manager on the list is Chinese outfit Guangzhou with Lippi.
Hodgson is the second best-paid national manager on the list, with Capello reported to be way out in front, earning almost £4m more than the former Liverpool, West Brom and Fulham manager.
Luiz Felipe Scolari (Brazil, £2.3m), Cesare Prandelli (Italy, £2.5m), Low and Del Bosque are the other international bosses in the top 30.
